Practice Exercise using the TOOL of Conditions
Look for the conditions given in the following verses. Highlight each ‘if’ you find and also try to insert ‘then’, where applicable. (Then view solutions.)
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matt. 6:14-15).
And He said to him, ‘Why do you ask Me about what is good? There is only One Who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.’ (Matt. 19:17).
By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another (Jn. 13:35).
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love (Jn. 15:10).
For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end (Heb. 3:14).
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’ you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors (Jms. 2:8-9)
